After the loading screen, the first place you'll arrive is the CHARACTER SELECT screen, where you can choose to make a new character.​

When you're prompted to enter a name for your character, you'll see two text boxes, one for your character's first name and one for the last name. Despite this, you only have to fill the first name box and may choose to leave the second box blank, if you prefer. Whatever you insert here is what will appear when you use the /me command in our chat.

PUT A LITTLE MAKE-UP ON

Initially, your character will be invisible - don't panic! Move to an isolated spot that you feel has decent lighting. Once you find a good spot, press [T] to open our chat box and input the command: /CREATOR. It may take a moment to load.

When you enter creator, a menu of character creation choices should appear. Make your character model visible by choosing your character's sex. As you go through your options here, we recommend taking notes or screenshots of your final choices as you can always bring the character creator up to tweak details, but doing so often resets your initial creation choices.

A FRESH NEW GETUP

After you've created your character, visit the nearest clothing store to put together an outfit. You can find one by pressing [M] to open your map and searching for this:        icon. While doing so, please do NOT interact with anyone until you've put together an outfit, other players should also ignore you until you're dressed.

 

When you get to the tailor and put together an outfit, it will cost end up costing you $2, so be sure what you're satisfied with what you've chosen.

Note: some articles of clothing can clip depending on what they're paired with, but this is not always the case. If you see clipping with clothes that should go together, try the /LOADSKIN or /LOADCLOTHES commands to fix it.
